Each holiday season, The Salvation Army engages in the tradition of "staffing the kettles" to promote the plight of the needy in Chippewa County. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army's cause, as the money it raises supports the organization’s programs for the rest of the year. Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of Chippewa County residents and businesses, The Salvation Army can continue to provide valuable programs such as emergency food assistance and vouchers for rent, utilities and clothing.

During the holidays children receive gifts through Toys for Tots. Clothing, food and other items are distributed to individuals and families. Senior citizens receive gifts and visits. The Salvation Army of Chippewa County assists hundreds of families during the holiday season.
